Clone postage fault in Photoshop CS four

Just happened. Error: 'cannot be used considering the plan error Clone Stamp' the pattern buffer still works on phew slot tool. Tried rebooting with no luck.

Try resetting your Preferences of complete equally described in the FAQ.

Y'all must physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if you use the Alt, Ctrl, and shift, don't forget y'all become a confirmation dialog box.

This resets all settings in Photoshop default.

A complete uninstall/reinstall will not bear on preferences and a corrupted file may be the cause of the problem.

My suggestion would be to trash and reset your preference files.

I am using clone stamp tool pick and click on Photoshop CS5 on my Mac 10.6.v and it stopped working suddenly on Mon. He had only used Sunday. So, I tried to isolate the problem.

1. at the Apple store and my work as a keyboard and mouse is well spent on their internal systems running Photosochop CS5. Problem yet exists on the system at home.

2 adobe photoshop suggested I go back to Mac ten.6.3. I did and the problem however exists.

three reset all settings predefined in CS5. Problem notwithstanding exists.

4. has spent several hours with Adobe Photoshop tech on phone - he could not operate it remotely either. RELOADED Photoshop from scratch. Problem withal exists.

Question:

This could exist a hardware problem? Graphics card problem?

Or is it a software outside of CS5 and Mac Os problem?

I searched and institute similar questions on the forum and I tried all the solutions proposed, that I could observe, but I'1000 still not resolve this issue. Hoping that maybe someone institute a fix!

The problem is that the option - click to set a point source for the Clone Postage stamp tool does non work, just the behavior seems to be particularly odd.

With the Clone Stamp selected, tool if I press the choice key pressed, I get the crosshairs target fiddling, which makes me think that Photoshop is the option key is read and is not a recovery program of her ataxia. I have to admit, I'm puzzled. Everything seems as information technology should. The tool has been reset, preferences reset and the layer looks very good. I wonder if it is a question with El Capitan. I use Windows, but know that Photoshop has had problems when El Capitan came out. If you accept not used the clone 6 months stamp then it would have been pre - El Capitan. Have you tried completely uninstalling Photoshop, restart the estimator and reinstall?
